Georgia Kansas (Moseley) Brown's funeral was held at the Second Ponce De Leon Baptist Church, Atlanta. Conducted by Dr. Ryland Knight and assisted by Pastor Dr. Ellis Fuller. She was buried in Westview Cemetery and buried beside her husband, James Brown.

"Georgia Kansas Moseley, one of the daughters , was born in Carroll County, GA., near the Chattahoochee River. Making her home with her uncle and aunt, Mr. and Mrs. I.D. Upshaw, she met and was courted by James Brown whom she married Oct 3, 1875, at the Upshaw home in Atlanta, GA. Dr. Wm. Butts officiated. She and her daughters, Pearl and Clifford, joined the Central Baptist church and were baptized by the pastor, Rev. R.L. Motley, Nov 9, 1898. In 1907, she became a charter member of Grant Park Baptist church. In 1923, she became a charter member of Cascade Baptist Church. At the time of her death she was a member of the Second Ponce De Leon Baptist church, and the funeral was conducted by her pastor, Dr. Ryland Knight, assisted by Dr. Ellis Fuller, pastor of the First Baptist Church. She was buried in West View Cemetery by the side of her husband
