A native of Newport News, he lived in Norfolk most of his life.
Besides his widow, he is survived by his stepparents, Mrs. and Mrs. J. T. Crank of South Norfolk; four sons, Bland U. Creekmore of Coronado, Calif., and Jack E. Creekmore, Bruce A. Creekmore and John T. Creekmore of Norfolk; four sisters, Mrs. George W. Cornelius and Mrs. T. A. Newbill of South Norfolk, Mrs. C. E. Creekmore of Norfolk and Mrs. Jean McFarland of Petersburg; a half brother, Warren Smith, of Norfolk; and eight grandchildren.
The body was taken to Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home.
