Armon Joseph Hilburn, Sr. , born June 19, 1913 in Webbers Falls, OK, died April 15, 2001 in Tulsa, OK. A.J. was a member of the Knights of Columbus and the Saint Catherine's Catholic Church.
He was retired from Mid-Continent/Sun Oil Company after 44 years. He enjoyed playing golf, building birdhouses and playing 22 points plus triple-word-score plus 50 points for using all my letters. He was married to Frances Lorene Pike on February 6, 1937 (64 years).
He was preceded in death by his son, Charles B. Hilburn and his granddaughter, Julie A. Hilburn. He is survived by: his wife; daughter, Frances J. Dear of Sapulpa; son, A.J. Hilburn, Jr. and wife, Marilyn of Tulsa; daughter, Marcia G. Duplantis and husband, John of Houma, LA; 14 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; sister, Ogilive Roth; and several nieces and nephews.
