"The Logansport Press," Logansport, Indiana, Page 6, January 22, 1971 RUTH BEARD, 79, EXPIRES AT HOME; RITES AT CUTLER FLORA, INDIANA--Mrs. Ruth Beard, 79, of Route 1, Rossville, died at her home Thursday. She was found dead at 5:30 p.m. but had expired of an apparent heart attack at 9 a.m. She had been ill for 18 months.
Born September 26, 1891 near Cutler, Indiana, she was the daughter of Andrew and Doris Shanklin. Her marriage was to Lloyd Beard who died in May 1961.
She was a member of the Cutler Presbyterian Church.
Survivors are a son, Dwight, Sidney, Nebraska; five grandchildren; a great grandchild; two sisters: Mrs. Mary Quinn, Lafayette; Mrs. Savannah Humes, Burlington.
Friends may call after 4 p.m. Saturday at Carter Funeral Home. Services will be at 3:30 p.m. Sunday at the Cutler Presbyterian Church with the Reverend Guy Brown officiating. Burial will be in Ball Hill Cemetery.
Friends may call at the church one hour before the service.
