Monday at 3 pm in New Salem Baptist Church - Jones County, with Rev. Preston Batts and Rev. Mark White officiating. Interment will follow in the James Cemetery - in Jones County.
Mr. Avery passed away Saturday Oct. 6, 2007 in a Macon Hospital. Mr. Avery was a life long resident of Jones County. He was the son of the late Willard Howard and Mattie Kitchens Avery. He was predeceased by a son Tommy Avery. He was a retired Logger and Farmer and was a member of the New Salem Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife - Mildred Bates Avery; daughters - Wanda ( Buster ) Bass, Linda ( Sheriff Butch) Reece , Pauline (Chris ) Brower, Patricia Roberson; Son - Johnny (Patty ) Avery all of Jones County. 11 Grandchildren, 7 Great Grandchildren.
