My father's younger brother. He served as an Army medic during World War II and according to my cousin's records was killed in France just weeks before the war ended. Correspondence to my grandfather, dated May 2nd, 1946 from the Office of the Quartermaster General of the War Department in Washington D.C., indicates that Henry was initially buried at the U.S. Military Cemetery in Limey, France and later exhumed and reinterred at his present burial location in Martinsville, Virginia.

Many thanks to my Uncle Phil, Tom and all those who have helped me find out more information about my Uncle Henry.
