Ada V. Brown, age 94, of Valparaiso, IN, passed away Thursday, April 26, 2007.
She was born April 22, 1913 in Battle Creek, MI, the daughter of William W. and Adeline E. (Perry) Jensen.
Ada was a nurse's aid for Porter Memorial Hospital, a member of the First United Methodist Church, the Eastern Star #164 and the Royal Neighbors #3122. She loved knitting, sewing, baking and spending time with her family.
On April 12, 1936, she married Robert T. Brown, who preceded her in death May 12, 1993.
Surviving are two children: Thomas (Patricia) Brown of Valparaiso, IN and Sarah (Lanny) Jones of New Jersey; five grandchildren: David (Dana) Brown and Jessica (Beau) Winchip of Valparaiso, IN, Rebecca (Christian) Urciuoli of New York, Landon (Beth Jones of Pennsylvania and Cassie Jones of Rhode Island; five great-grandchildren; one sister, Shirley (Lee) Hunt of Arizona.
Her parents, a brother William Jensen and a sister Wilma Quigley preceded her in death.
Funeral services will be held Monday, April 30, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. at Bartholomew Funeral Home with Rev. Rhonda Kruse officiating.
Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be held Sunday, April 29, 2007 from 3:00-7:00 p.m. at Bartholomew Funeral Home, 102 Monroe, Valparaiso, IN.
