Services Held Saturday for Bellwood Woman

Bellwood - Funeral services for Mrs. Mamie A. Brandenburgh, 76, Bellwood, who died Thursday at David City hosptial, were held Saturday at the Knott Funeral Home in David City. The Rev. Melvin Cammack officiated, and burial was in Bellwood Cemetery.

Nee Mamie Bock, daughter of Leopold and Amelia Bock, she was born at Bellwood and attended school here. She later attended Grand Island Business College.

On Sept 26, 1911, she was married to O.A. Brandenburgh at Wallace, Ida. They came to Bellwood in 1912 to since reside.

Mrs. Brandenburgh was affiliated with the Ben Hur and Royal Highlander organizations.

She helped direct entertainment groups and played in the Bellwood band and orchestra. Mrs. Brandenburgh also did outstanding Red Cross work, and helped with fund raising campaigns during World War 1.

She is survived by her husband. Her parents and two infant sisters preceded her in death.
