Jesse Herbert Littrell, 96, of Canon City died on August 18, 1998 in Florence. He was born on June 14, 1902 in Maxwell, New Mexico to William Jesse and Margaret Frances (Shoemaker) Littrell. He was a retired rancher. He married Goldie Edie Osborn on November 6, 1922 in Raton, New Mexico. He was preceded in death by his parents; his daughter, Goldie Colleen Armstrong; his brother, Hugh Forest Littrell; and his sisters, Alta Ursula Scott, Lillie Della Paddock, and Vinnie May Johnson. He is survived by his wife; his daughters, Betty June Coleman, Mary Louise Patterson, and Myrtle Frances Schulze, all of Westcliffe, Jessie May "Sally" LaMora of Colorado Springs, Laurel Lee Aldridge of Dubai, U.A.E., and Nancy Gail Hanssen of Hudson; his son, James Herbert Littrell of Salida; twenty eight grandchildren; fifty four great-grandchildren; and ten great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. tomorrow at Wilson-Andrews Chapel. Burial will follow in Lakeside Cemetery.
