Orma West, 77, of Burkburnett passed away Saturday, Nov. 29, 2008, in Wichita Falls, Texas.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 1 p.m. Dec. 3, 2008, at Central Baptist Church in Burkburnett, Rev. Joe Coombes officiating. Burial will follow in Burkburnett Cemetery under direction of Owens & Brumley Funeral Home of Burkburnett. Visitation will be Tuesday, Dec. 2, 2008, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Orma was born in Reydon, Okla., to Benton and Maude (James) Scrivner. She married George West July 23, 1950, and lived in Amarillo, Texas, until 1966 when she moved to Burkburnett.
She was a Civil Service Secretary at SAFB. Orma was a member of Tops No. TX636 of Burkburnett, and also a member of 55 advantage club at United Regional.
She is survived by her daughter, Beverly Parton and husband Van of Burkburnett; son, James West of Burkburnett; a brother, Don Scrivner of Amarillo, Texas; grandchild, Jeff Parton and wife Shannon of Cusseta, Alabama; great-grandchildren, Chandler, Megan, Brady and Griffin Parton, all of Cusseta, Alabama, and Kyle Parton of Mossbluff, Louisiana; numerous nieces and nephews, friends, and other relatives.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, George West; six brothers and two sisters; and her parents.
