Marriage of 56 Years Ended
Edward Vincent Alcott, 81, of 709 19th St. died at his home at 8:10 p.m. yesterday. He and Mrs. Alcott, the former Missouri Cochran, celebrated their 56th wedding anniversary last April 20.
He was born in Altoona July 22, 1882, a son of Edward G. and Mary Jane (Lingle) Alcott. Mr. Alcott was a retired ironworker of the Altoona Foundry, a member of the First Brethren Church.
Surviving are his wife, five children, George H., Mrs. Valeria Szink, with whom he resided, and Mrs. June Moyer of the city, Paul I. of Canoe Creek and Mrs. Mary Hann of Greenwood; seven grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
Friends will be received at the Mauk & Yates Funeral Home, Juniata, after 7 p.m. today.
