Joyce Hight Hawkins, 88, of Ozark died Monday, Nov. 24, 2008, in Ozark. She was a homemaker, worked many years in civil service; a member of Ozark First Presbyterian Church; preceded in death by her husband, Eddie Joe Hawkins; a son, Ronald Joseph Hawkins; a sister, Joann Alston; and a brother, Jack Hight.
Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Friday, Nov. 28, 2008, at Shaffer Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Ron Jones officiating with burial at Highland Cemetery in Ozark under the direction of Shaffer Funeral Home of Ozark.
She is survived by one daughter, Deborah Kaye Hawkins of Conway; one granddaughter, Angela Hawkins Baxter and husband, Randy of Van Buren; two great-grandsons, Nathaniel Baxter of Van Buren and William Keith Baxter of Milwaukee; and a great-granddaughter, Brittany Baxter of Fort Smith.
