Ike Beyale Sr. 82, of Fruitland, passed away Nov. 13, 2008, at the Life Care Center in Farmington. He was born May 5, 1926, in Lake Valley, Crownpoint, to Frank Beyale and Elsie Pioche.

Ike was a World War II veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps. He was retired from the APS Power Plant. Ike enjoyed rodeos, fishing, hunting, camping and spending time with family, especially his grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank Beyale and Elsie Pioche; his loving wife of 47 years, Christine Simpson Beyale; and by his sister, Ruth Beyale Pablo. Ike is survived by his sons, Ike Beyale Jr., Irvin Ray Beyale, Valvin Del Beyale and Durwin Ike Beyale; his daughters, Sarah Nelson, Ina Van Winkle, Irene Harding, Irveta Aragon, Ifaita Araiza, Cynthia DeSheuquette, Gloria Beyale, Carladia Faye Beyale, Shawnda Rae Upshaw and special daughter, Sharon Linda Cly. Ike was the proud grandfather to 36 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Monday, Nov. 17, at the First Baptist Church of Kirtland. Pastor Harvey Bitsilly will officiate. Ike will then be laid to rest at Greenlawn Cemetery. Military Honors will be provided by VFW Post 2182.

Pallbearers will be Arquilino Aragon, Arsenio Araiza, Leighton Valencia, Faron VanWinkle, Sinclair DeSheuquette, Alexis DeSheuquette, Ariel DeSheuquette and Uriah Upshaw.

Honorary pallbearers will be Tom George, Ike Beyale, Jr., Irvin Beyale, Valvin Beyale, Durwin Beyale, his six sons-in-law and the late Frank and Ruth Pablo Family.
