Adine Ketchum Hearst Goodwin, 78, died May 9, 013 peacefully in her home surrounded by her loving family, after a long two-year ageous battle with cancer.

Funeral services were Saturday at Stricklin-King Funeral Home. Burial followed at Benton Baptist Churvh Cemetery.

Mrs. Goodwin was born May 10, 1934 in Yazoo County. Adine loved her family and loved the outdoors. She has a great passion for travel and country music. She was an active member at Benton Baptist Church and instilled a love of the Lord throughout her family.

She was the proud mother of four daughters and two step-sons. Adine found love again when she married James "Jimmy" Goodwin in 2005. Adine resided in Benton.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Bill Hearst and great-granddaughter, Danielle Griffin. She was also preceded in death by her parents, Santie and Buck Ketchum.

Survivors include her husband, KJames Goodwin; and her daughters and their spouses; Brenda (Dan) Griffin, Millbrook, Ala., Cheryl (Terry) Carr, Madison, Debbie (Wendell Braswell, Birmingham, Ala. and Sheila (Andy) Bridges, Yazoo City and step-sons, Kenny (Martha) Goodwin, Senatobia and Lee Goo, 2 step grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and a host of brothers and sisters.

Serving as pallbearers were Xzn Carr, Ben Carr, Danny Griffin, Shane Smith, Ryan Speegle and John Jefcoat.

Honorary pallbearers were Hershel Turner, Harold Middleton, Larry Lee, Billy Luse, John Fletcher, and Eddie Luse.

Memorials may be made to the Benton Baptist Church cemetery fund.
