Service for Blanche Ireland Abney, 87, formerly of Muncie and Selma, will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday in the Meeks Mortuary, Rev. Bruce Lenliine, pastor of the Selma United Methodist Church, officiating. Entombment will be in Elm Ridge Mausoleum. Friends may call at the mortuary from 3-5 and from 7-9 p.m. today and before the services Wednesday.

Mrs. Abney died Monday at the Delaware County Health Center. She was a native of Montpelier and moved to Muncie when she was 16. She was employed at the YMCA and the YWCA and earlier worked at the Tune Inn. She was a member of Selma United Methodist Church; Happy Harmony Home Ec Club; Rural Impovement Garden Club; Senior Citizens of the Main Street United Methodist Church and the Muncie Mission Auxiliary.

Surviving are her husband, Alfred N. Abney; two daughters, Mrs. Mary Hall, Muncie and Mrs. Georgia Swan, Selma; two sons, Leonard Ireland, Sun City, Ariz., and David Kenneth Ireland, Denver, Colo.; a stepdaughter, Annabelle Ryan, North Webster; six grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; several great great grandchildren; a step grandchild; several step great grandchildren and several step great great grandchildren.
