The land property line dispute was actually focused on a Pecan Tree & who was the rightful owner of the Nuts!!! Charles Jackson Arant (my G-G-Great Grandfather) was killed 2 weeks prior to Christmas day when these two men met at the tree in an attempt to gather some Nuts for their family Christmas Pecan Pie!

This was a family feud that went on for years even after the killing! One day several years later, the son-in-law of C.J. Arant, Elmer Kuykendall decided to cut that tree down which ended the feud!
