Frank Castle Burns, age 70, died on January 20, 1990 after a long illness.


Born January 28, 1919 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Edward J. Burns and Margaret Boss. Married Marion Michelson on May 2, 1941 in Farmington, Utah. Graduated from Granite High School. Worked as a salesman many years for Farmer Bros. Coffee, W.H. Bintz Co. and Allen Foods Inc. until his retirement. Veteran of World War II, served with the 88th fighter group in the CBI Theatre. Member and past president of F.O.E. #67. Member Twin Peaks Lodge, York Rite and El Kalah Shrine. He was a member of the Shrine Band. For many years played in the Letter Carriers Band.


Survived by wife; a son, Gary J. Burns and wife Gini of Fountain Valley, California; two grandsons, Gregory of Fountain Valley, and Ryan, serving in the U.S. Marines in Okinawa; three brothers, Kenneth, Idaho, Falls, Idaho; Duane, West Valley City; Peter, Sunset, Utah. Preceded in death by two brothers.


Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, January 24, 1990 at 12:00 noon in the Larkin Sunset Gardens Mortuary Chapel, 1950 East Dimple Dell Road (10600 South), where friends may call on Tuesday from 6:00-8:00 p.m. and on Wednesday one hour prior to the services.
Interment: Larkin Sunset Gardens.
