Obit - Dale E. Albert, 82 of Oakley, died 6:55 P.M., Monday, October 11, 2004 at Decatur Memorial Hospital. Funeral services will be 11:00 A.M., Thursday, October 14, at Cerro Gordo United Methodist Church, Cerro Gordo, with visitation one hour prior to service time. Brintlinger & Earl Funeral Home will be handling the arrangements. Burial will be in Cerro Gordo Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Cerro Gordo Ambulance Service of Cerro Gordo Youth League.
Dale was born July 20, 1922 in Long Creek, IL., the son of Earl and Thelma (Barnett) Albert. He married Dorothy Cable Nov 25, 1944 in Decatur. She preceded him in death in 1964. He later married Patricia Harshbarger on September 24, 1965, in Decatur. She preceded him in death in 2002.
Dale was a life long farmer and was affiliated with Cerro Gordo United Methodist church.
He is survived by his mother Thelma Albert of Cerro Gordo; children Barrett Albert and wife Linda of Metemora IL, (Step Daughters)Kathy Eads and husband Glenn of Cerro Gordo, Pamela Frazier and husband Greg of Burnsville, Minnesota; grandchildren Christopher & Brittany Albert of Metamora,(Step-grandchildren) Rachel & Jordyn Eads of Cerro Gordo, John & Nicole Frazier of Burnsville, Minnesota;brothers Adrian Albert and wife Lorraine of Oakley, George Albert and wife Linda of Cerro Gordo, Carrol Albert and wife Peggy of Oakley; sisters Beverly Seitz and husband Dick of Cerro Gordo, Sandy Brandenburg of Cerro Gordo, Ellen Nickey and husband Harold of LaPlace, Betty Turner of Topeka, Kansas, Gloria Ruch and husband Bob of Cerro Gordo.
He was preceded in death by his father and brothers Bernard and Corwin. The family would like to give special thanks to Dr. Shackelford, caregivers Helen Shelton and Norma Mowry, and his friends at Golden Glaze Donuts.
