Artist. Virginia Keep Clark illustrated a series of books known as the "Live Dolls" series, authored by Josephine Scribner Gates in the early 1900's. Mrs. Clark composed portraits of the Duke and Duchess of Windsor, Sir Harry Oakes and members of the Ball family (of Ball jar fame) and numerous others. Virginia Keep Clark studied at the Art Students League in New York City, the Drexler Institute in Philadelphia, the John Herron Art Institute in Indianapolis and the Art Institute of Chicago. Her husband was first cousin of another prominent artist, Cecil Clark Davis, the first wife of the famous reporter, Richard Harding Davis.
