Daughter of Anton & Katherina (Keil) Meisinger. Anna Eva Meisinger emigrated to America with her German farming parents late 1842. She was born in Germany on Feb.02, 1835. The Meisinger's settled in the Tazewell, Co. and were known to establish a fine farm there. She married J.P. Becker Sr. on 6-23-1853 in Tazewell Co. Illinois. They lived near Sand Prairie township and started a family. They later bought a farm and other land by Cherry Grove near Allen, in Mason County, Illinois and also 320 acres of land in Cass County ,Nebraska. Where other family of hers & her husband's families moved west to Nebraska & around his holdings in the late 1870's. They had eleven children all listed here. They were known to be well established and had many tenant farmers that lived & worked their farms in the Mason City area. Their lives met a tragic end in Dec. of 1916, when they were murdered in their farm home. Several trials were held on different accused people but none where ever convicted. She was 81 years of age at the time of her death.
