Jettie Lee Jackman Slaughter

Wedding Day, 26 Dec 1905. They had no children. (Did you know that up until the death of Queen Victoria in 1907, the traditional color for a wedding gown was black, not white?) Aunt Jett was a nurse at Maplewood Infirmary, Glasgow, Ky. She lost her sight (and eventually both her eyes had to be removed) following a nursing accident/explosion at age 36. She had been blind 36yrs at her death in her 72nd year, from recurring cancer. /dhb
