Janet Deloris Bonnett Anderson, 65, of Jacksonville, N.C., died August 9, 2002, at Onslow Memorial Hospital, Jacksonville, N.C.

She was born in Jackson County in 1937, and lived her childhood in Wood County before making her move to Jacksonville, N.C., where she raised her children and worked for several years at Surf City and the commissary at Camp LeJune, N.C.

She is survived by three sons, Dennis Anderson of Darlington, S.C., Curtis Anderson of Jacksonville, N.C., and James Anderson of Macon, Ga.; one daughter, Melissa Gilbert of Darlington, S.C.; four sisters, Evelyn Church of Dade City, Fla., Ireta Dillon of Sandyville, W.Va., Ilene Burke of Rockport, W.Va., and Patricia Taylor of Kokomo, Ind.; two brothers, George Bonnett of Vienna, and Carroll Bonnett of Rockport, W.Va.; and three grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by an infant son, Richard W. Anderson; her mother and father, Lloyd and Lessie Bonnett; and two sisters, Margaret Bonnett and Violet West.

A memorial service was held Aug. 12, 2002, at the Jones Funeral Home, with the Rev. Rudolf Outlaw officiating. Her final resting place will be at Gates Ridge Cemetery, Rockport.
