Brian K. Chandler, 21, of Casa Grande, died May 23, 1998 in Casa Grande.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at Simes Mortuaries Casa Grande Chapel. The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Calvary Baptist Church.

Mr. Chandler was born April 11, 1977 in Casa Grande and graduated from Casa Grande Union High School in 1996. He entered the U.S. Navy in July of that year. He was an airman and a plane captain, responsible for directing planes on the ground and plane safety.

He enjoyed snow and water skiing. He looked forward to attending Arizona State University and to getting married and having children. He enjoyed life.

Survivors include his parents, Anna Reitenbaugh, of Casa Grande and Keith Chandler, of Tempe; a sister, Megan Chandler, of Tempe; a stepsister, Melissa Ventura, of Phoenix; four brothers, Chris Hale, of Casa Grande Scott, Ronnie and Christopher Chandler, all of Tempe; a stepbrother, Richard Ventura, of St. Paul, Minnesota; his paternal grandfather, Hugh Chandler, of Casa Grande; paternal grandmother, Beverly Fontes, of Colofado; maternal grandmother, Wava Reitenbaugh, of Casa Grande; and paternal great-grandmother, Mattie Bennett, of Willcox.

His maternal grandfather, Ronald Reitenbaugh, died in 1994.
