Reynol Lee "Rennie" Koohns, 49, of Glenwood and formerly of Carrollton, Ky., died Sunday, June 30, 2002, at his residence.He was born Nov. 7, 1952, in Mesa, Ariz., the son of Robert Neal and Shirley Joan Mustin Koohns.He was a musician and songwriter who performed with his family in the Koohns Family Band. He played the guitar, mandolin, bass guitar and banjo. He was a member of the Family Worship Center in Carrollton.Surviving are his father, of Fayette County; his wife, Brenda Kay Moore Koohns; two sons, Reynol Lee Koohns Jr. of Carrollton, and Robert Gene Koohns of Glenwood; a daughter, Melissa Rena Koohns of Carrollton; two brothers, Daniel R. Koohns of Laurel and Phillip G. Koohns of Rush County; two sisters, Penny J. Nutty of Connersville, and Peggy S. Coon of Fayette County; and eight grandchildren.He was preceded in death by his mother, who died Dec. 15, 2000; his maternal grandparents, Ira and Clara Mustin; and his paternal grandfather, Robert L.
