After he attended Pittsfield High School, he worked for Globe Mfg. and was currently employed building stone walls for Dan Schroth.
His interests were wide ranging. Jeremiah was a NY Jets fan, and he enjoyed fishing, music, and politics. He was also known for the best homemade chicken soup in the area.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by sisters, Jamie Blackey and Jessica Bell, both of Pittsfield; nieces and nephews, Savannah Bell, Kathleen Rollins, Devon Holland, and Kyle Aubertin, all of Pittsfield; his grandfather, William Dumond of Ft. Fairfield, ME; and aunts, uncles, and cousins. Mr. Blackey was predeceased by grandparents, Doris and Archie Green and Shirley Dumond and cousins, Brent and Dawn Blackey.
