Edward Harrison Garner, 50, husband of Cheryl Lynn Garner, passed away Saturday, September 27, 2008, from injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident.He was born in Liberty, N.Y., was raised in Monticello, Ky. He was the son of Anna Garner and the late William Rex Garner. He was a self employed HVAC Contractor and was of the Baptist Faith. Mr. Garner served as the Commissioner for the Northern Madison County Sanitation Department, he was a Kentucky Colonel, he enjoyed deer hunting, and riding motorcycles, he was a member of the Kentucky Rifle Association. He loved his friends, his children, grandchildren and wife.Survivors include: his wife, Cheryl Lynn Garner; one son, Matthew Harrison Garner of Richmond, Ky.; one daughter, Tara Danielle Garner of Richmond, Ky.; his mother, Anna Garner; two sisters, Donna Tuggle and Sandra Fleming; two grandchildren, Isabel Lynn Grant and Matthew Clint Grant, II.He was also survived by: his niece and nephews. He was preceded in death by: his father, William Rex Garner.Services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Wednesday, October 1, 2008, at Oldham, Roberts and Powell Funeral Home with Bro. Tim Beard officiating. Burial will follow in the Richmond Cemetery.
