Mrs. Lura Crain Perry, 74, of 822 East Ross, Hamilton, passed away at 5:30 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 7 following an extended illness.

The Rev. George Gaston and Dr. C. W. Brister officiated at funeral services in the First Baptist Church of Hamilton at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, January 8. Burial was in the I. O. O. F. Cemetery.

Mrs. Perry's parents were J. W. Crain and Amanda Stribling Crain. She was born in Coryell County, Sept. 11, 1906, but lived in Hamilton County most of her life. She married Jeff Perry Feb. 6, 1932.

Her role in life was as a housewife and mother. She was a member of Hamilton's First Baptist Church, the Order of Eastern Star and the American Legion Auxiliary.

Survivors include her husband, Jeff Perry of Hamilton; son and daughter-in-law, James Harold and Sharon Perry of Arlington; and two grandchildren, Amber and Lori Perry.

Pallbearers were Otto Lengefeld, Pete Gunn, Owen Drake, Ted Jones, Seth Moore, Bomer Harris, Burt Karkalits, Jess Pruitt, and Arvin Bradberry.
