Allie Awalt, 89, of Ridgway passed away on April 3, 1972 at her home after an extended illness. She was born on May 30, 1882 in Newtonsville, Ohio, the daughter of Frank and Sarah (Emery) Foster. Her husband, Otis Awalt, preceded her in death on April 20, 1920. She was a member of First Baptist Church. She is survived by her daughter, Pearl Awalt of Ridgway; and one sister, Stella Hedger of Alton. Funeral services were held Wednesday at Edwards Funeral Chapel in Ridgway with Rev. Dale Denham officiating. Burial was in Jackson Cemetery.
