THE PARIS NEWS, September 5, 1943: "Frensley Funeral -
Funeral service was held Saturday afternoon at Brown-Roden Funeral Home for Mrs. Thomas J. Frensley, 255 N. Main St., Dr. S. M. Black, district superintendent of Paris Methodist District officiating, and burial was in Evergreen Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Alex Stark, Bill Engram, W. A. Walters, Clarence Murphy, Frank Davis and Elvin T. Thoms.
Mrs. Frensley died Friday at 10:30am at the home of her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. J. E. (Ern) Thoms, where she had lived since coming from Roxton 15 years ago.
The former Miss Eliza Jane Moore, born August 25, 1868, in Clinton, Ky., she was married 60 years ago to Thomas J. Frensley, who died in 1899.
They had lived in Pecan Gap before moving to Roxton.
Surviving are four children, Mrs. Thoms, here; Mrs. R. W. McVay, Cooper; Auda Frensley of Dallas; and Charles Frensley of Austin; 16 grandchildren and eight great-grand-children." Transcribed by Carole Curry.
