Born on Dec. 26, 1922 to George and Bettie "Hanks" Brewster in Stringtown, Okla. She married Richard Morris and they were married for 57 years and lived in Siskiyou County since 1943.
Richard preceded her in death in September of 1999, as did two grandchildren, Jacob and Lilly.
She is survived by a sister, Billie Fay Basham of Glendale, Ore.; her daughter and son-in-law, Tommie and Tillman Crownover of Grenada; son and daughter-in-law, Al and Sue Morris of Gazelle; grandchildren, Reverend Tim and Teresa Crownover of Vancouver, Wash., whom will be officiating at her funeral service, also Terry and Shallii Crownover of Grants Pass, Ore., Tracy and Aaron Belknap of Montague, Shawna and Jacob Barr of Mt. Shasta and Stacey and Gregg Neitsch of Montague; 19 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
Juanita loved camping and fishing with friends and family. She served faithfully for many years in the Montague First Baptist Church as a Sunday School and Vacation Bible School teacher. She also loved gardening, her peach orchard, cows and chickens, but most of all spending time with her family.
Juanita went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Aug. 26, 2008.
In lieu of flowers, you may make a donation in her name to Madrone Hospice, 255 Collier Cir. in Yreka, who were always there with love and care for his and her family.
Family and friends are invited to a visitation at Girdner Funeral Chapel on Thursday, Aug. 28, 2008 from 6 to 7 p.m.
Services will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 29, 2008 at Girdner Funeral Chapel with burial following at Evergreen Cemetery.
