Mr. & Mrs. A. L. Cobb Are Honored At Golden Wedding Anniversary Tea
Arrangements of gold blossoms and greenery keynoted the decorations in the home of Mr. & Mrs. A. L. Cobb, 149 Elm Street, Sunday, July 9, 1961, when their daughter, Mrs. J. D. Goodman of Fort Worth, Texas, and their two sons, Earl Cobb, Indianapolis, Indiana, and Carter Cobb of Bastrop, and their families honored their parents with "Open House" between the hours of 2 & 4 pm in celebration of their Golden Wedding Anniversary.
Centering the refreshment table was a massive arrangement of gold chrysanthemums and fern, aided by lighted twisted gold candles. The four tier wedding cake was surrounded by a gold net ruffle and centering the top tier was a gold circlet centered with a raised 50 encircled with gold net. Gold leaves and rosebuds decorated the cake. Cake squares, similarly decorated were also served. On the other end of the table was the punch bowl. Approximately 70 guests called.
