Carol A. Miner, 68

Carol A. Miner, 68, of Lafayette, died at 8:40 a.m. Monday, March 10, 2008, at Mulberry Health & Retirement Community.

Born Nov. 25, 1939, in Lafayette, she was the daughter of the late Charles E. Colvin and Evelyn Howard Davis. She graduated from Jefferson High School in 1957.

Her marriage was June 7, 1958, to Thomas L. Miner. He died Jan. 21, 2006.

Mrs. Miner worked in the alumni office at Purdue University.

She was a member of St. Boniface Catholic Church, and her hobbies were reading and bowling. She was an avid fan of Purdue University sports.

Surviving are sons, Jon L. Miner (wife: Shelly) of Lafayette and Jeffrey Miner (wife: Beth) of Tinley Park, Ill.; daughters, Jill Miner (husband: Oscar Carvallo) of Lawrenceville, Ga., and Janet Kay Catron (husband: James) and Julie Leill (husband: Chad), both of Lafayette; sisters, Gloria DesEnfants (husband: James) and Pam Graves (husband: Dale), both of West Lafayette, Janet Kellerman (husband: Stu) of Romney and Jean Colvin of Wisconsin; and a brother Jerry Colvin (wife: Mary Kay) of Florida.

Visitation 5-8 p.m. Thursday with rosary at 5 p.m. at Soller-Baker Lafayette Chapel, 400 Twyckenham Blvd. Mass 10:30 a.m. Friday, St. Boniface Catholic Church, Father William Vath officiating. Interment Tippecanoe Memory Gardens Mausoleum.

Surviving are 12 grandchildren, Brittany Miner, Anna Marie Miner, Vanessa Carvallo, Samantha Carvallo, Oscar Carvallo, Colin Miner, Kendall Miner, Rileigh Leill, Taelen Leill, Seth Catron, Sydney Catron, Saige Catron. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.
