Hazel A. (Faulk) Clowes, 82, formerly of Parks Township, died Tuesday, May 20, 2008, at Armstrong County Memorial Hospital, East Franklin Township. She was born Sept. 19, 1925, in the Hillville area of West Leechburg, daughter of the late Thomas R. Faulk Sr. and Ina Grace (Fuhs) Faulk. Hazel was a member of Cross Roads Community Presbyterian Church, Leechburg, and the former Calvary Presbyterian Church, Leechburg. She was a former Philathea Class Member and a member of the Women's Working Circle and the Sunday school class at the former Calvary Presbyterian Church. Additionally, she was a member of Lee's Bowling Lanes League, Parks Township, TOPS, Leechburg, and Roaring Run Watershed, Apollo. She enjoyed bowling, playing bingo, going to flea markets, collecting antiques, golfing, fishing and doing garage sales. Hazel is survived by her son, Frank T. Clowes, of Parks Township; two daughters, Hazel Ann Myers, of Lakewood, Calif., and Kathleen J. (Joseph) Munko, of Parks Township; brother, William D. (Carol) Faulk, of West Vandergrift; 10 grandchildren, Jeffrey and Tim Myers, Daniel Cooperider, Susan Campbell, Annette Cebula, Elizabeth McCartney, Frank Kenneth Clowes, Patricia Cline, Joseph Wayne Munko Jr. and Robert Kenneth Munko; and 14 great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth F. Clowes, who died June 26, 2004; three brothers, Charles B. "Blaine" Faulk, Harry Faulk and Thomas R. Faulk Jr.; and two sisters, Margaret Faulk and Agnes Schrecengost. Friends will be welcomed by her family from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday in CLAWSON'S, Second at Main streets, Leechburg, where funeral ceremonies will be held at 10 a.m. Friday with her pastor, the Rev. Lisa Lyon, officiating. Interment will follow in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Allegheny Township.
