Rebecca Beale Marriott Ruby was married first to Samuel Marriott I at Saint Andrew, Holborn, London, England on the 18th of May 1841. They immigrated to the U.S. in September 1850, settling first in Canada West, Ontario, Middlesex County, Delaware Township, and later settled in the Sanilac County, Michigan area.
Samuel died 20 March 1870, and Rebecca remarried to Charles Ruby on the 12th of May 1876, in Forestville, Michigan. She was a milliner and dressmaker.
Her death certificate states she was married first at the age of 18 and had a total of 14 children, 10 of which were living at the time of her death.
Her children with Samuel Marriott were Samuel II, Thomas, William, Eliza (Armstrong), Alfred, Henry, Catherine, Frederick, Mary Ann (Mitchell), Louisa (Mitchell), Adeline (Spackman), Charles, Emily (Snyder), and Arthur Edward.
She was the daughter of Samuel Beale and Martha Brenchley. Sister of Eliza and Sarah.
