Marie Martin Legere, 56, of Saucier, died Tuesday, May 9, 2006 in Gulfport. Mrs. Legere was a native of Greenville, MS and had been a resident of the coast since 1994. She retired as Manager for Sato Travel at Keesler Air Force Base and was a member of Mississippi City United Methodist Church. Marie enjoyed sewing and she made costumes for several coast Mardi Gras Associations and she also enjoyed cake decorating. Marie was always helping others and she fought a courageous battle with cancer. She was preceded in death by her father, John A. Martin. Survivors include her husband, Allen Legere, Sr., Saucier; 3 children: Allen (Heather) Legere, Jr., Gulfport, Lanissa Legere, Biloxi, and Lovie Legere, Saucier; her mother, Dorothy Martin, Philadelphia, MS; 2 brothers: John (Becky) Martin, Huntsville, AL and Joe Martin, Plaquemine, LA; 2 sisters: Darlene Martin, Gulfport and Rita (David) Cochran, Brandon, MS; and her special grandchildren: Lani, Dylan, Madison Marie, Abbey Gail, Hunter, and Taylor.
