Marcella Allen, 63, of Guston, died Monday, Feb. 6, 1995 at her residence. She was born in Meade Co. on Dec. 10, 1931, the daughter of the late Oris Hardin Bennett and Iva Myrtle Pipes Bennett. Allen was the widow of the late William Randolph Allen who preceded her in death on June 27, 1984.
Allen is survived by 8 children, Terry Meeks, Brandenburg; Monnie Hersey, Ekalaka, Montana, Denise Aldridge, Milton; Cheryl Thomas, Guston, Lonnie R. Allen,and Stanley Allen, Guston; Nicky Allen and Michael Allen, Brandenburg. 5 sisters, Ilene Kellems, Ekron; Laverne Kellems, California, Dorothy McBride, Indianapolis, IN., Mary Hack, Louisville; 2 brothers, James Bennett and Robert Bennett, Louisville. 23 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Prayers were recited at 7 p.m. Thurs. Feb 9 by the Rec. James Schook from the Chapel of the Jenkins Funeral Home. Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Fri. Feb. 10 from St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Church with the Rev. James Schook officiating. Burial was in St. Mary Magdalene Cemetery directed by Jenkins Funeral Home.(Meaade County Messenger Obituaties)
