ATTEND FUNERAL
E. E. Holmes returned from Joy, Ill., yesterday, where he attended the funeral of his uncle, Melvin B. Holmes. The deceased was a retired farmer. He had attained the age of 57 years and had been ill for a few days with pneumonia.
He was born in Maine and came to Joy with his parents in 1858.
Mr. Holmes is survived by his wife, two sons, Lawrence of Washington and Glen at home, three brothers, and one Sister.
