Daughter of George Wilson Johnston and Ida Eugenia Allen both buried Drew Cemetery, Drew, Mississippi.
Wife of Fred Hicks buried Rose Hills Cemetery in Whittier, Los Angeles County, California.
Buried with her sister Elizabeth Johnston Neal.
Aunt Modena was a school teacher. She never had any children of her own.
Aunt Modena lived for a time in Centerville Tennessee with her first husband Johnson. Mr.Johnson was a minister who drowned trying to save some children at a lake in Tennessee. Aunt Modena then moved to Garvey California and lived across the Street from Garvey Park. There were many Johnston family parties there.
Modena then in the twilight of her life moved to Washington State with her sister Elizabeth Neal.
Born with red hair like her father's.
She was a wonderful,kind,and loving aunt.
Rest In Peace Dear Aunt Modena. I love you.
