Bertha was born in Chico, Texas to the late Francis Mitchell and Phillie Belle (Ross) Cox. She was a lifelong resident of the Mount Calm area and a longtime member of First Baptist Church of Mount Calm and was employed as an executive secretary for Heart of Texas Homebuilders Association until her retirement in 1985. She was a cattle rancher for many years with her beloved husband, George Watson Greenhill.
She was preceded her in death by her husband in 1987; and a daughter, Netra Woodall in 2005.
Her survivors include daughter, Joyce Parsons, of Mount Calm; grandchildren, Kathy Minish, Paul Woodall, Suzie Brown, Kelly Woodall, Lori Williams, Tommy Roberts Jr. and Amanda Prater; 22 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; and sisters, Monnie Ward and Ruby Ritchie.
