Geraldine B. Anderson, 79 of Jordan Drive, peacefully transitioned into eternal life on Tuesday, July 29, 2008 at Holy Spirit Hospital.
She was born in Thomasville, NC, daughter of the late Alexander and Lucille (Moreland) Small, was a home-maker, who loved caring for her household, husband and children and in later years was an employee of Harrisburg School District, Blue Cross/Blue Shield and the former District Justice Michael Stewart and also did volunteer work for Milestone Ministerium.
Mother Anderson was a member of Christ Gospel Temple Apostolic Church, where she was the Church Mother, the former First Lady and served the church in many aspects of its ministry on the local and state levels.
She was the widow of Bishop William I. Anderson and leaves to celebrate her life, her 5 children, Joan Humphrey of Dover, NH, Patricia Anderson and Terry Moore, both of Cleveland, OH, William A. Anderson of York Haven and Gerald Anderson of Harrisburg; her 2 loved ones that she was blessed with, Howard Croft of Washington, DC and Gary Miller of Harrisburg; her 14 grandchildren; her 13 great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
Mother Anderson's life will be celebrated Saturday, August 2nd at 11 a.m. in the Sanctuary of her Church, 1310 N. 24th Street, Edgemont, with viewing 10 until 11 a.m. and burial in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens.
