He was the son of Arthur and Emma Adams. He married Joanne Ramos on Jan. 13, 1951, in Chillicothe, Ill.

Surviving are his wife, Joanne; his sons, Ricardo Adams, Roderick (Patsy) Adams and Marshall (Toni) Adams; a daughter, Julia Johnson; grandchildren, Matt (Jamie) Adams, and Brook (Donnie) Spaith; great-grandchildren, Ashley, Tyler, Trey, Morgan, Maya and Jordan; a sister, Zoe (Robert) Williams; and a brother, Gordan (Elis) Adams.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Archie; and three sisters, Faye, Helen and Letha Maye.

He was employed by Murison Label in Peoria for 23 years and later for Edward Hines in Peoria.
