MARY ELIZABETH EPTING

BALLINGER - Mary Elizabeth Epting, 77, of Ballinger went to be with her Lord Sunday, 23 Apr 2000.

She was born 1 Sep 1922, in Hillsboro to Samuel and Maude Malone McClean. She married Thomas Epting in Hill County in 1941 and moved to Ballinger in 1946, where she was a devoted school teacher for 41 years, retiring in 1989.

She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Ballinger and Beta Sigma Phi.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents and her husband Thomas L. in 1971.

She is survived by a son, David Epting of Ballinger; a daughter, Lesa Hale and her husband, Don, of Midland; a grandson, Travis Hale of Midland; and a granddaughter, Cara Hale of Midland.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, April 25, at Rains-Seale Funeral Home. Funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, April 26, at First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Bill Hughes officiating. Burial will follow in Garden of Memories Cemetery.

The family requests that memorials be made to the Alzheimer's Association, P.O. Box 3344, Abilene, TX 79604 or a favorite charity.
