Mrs. Roush was a Elementary School teacher for the Huntington County Community School system for 20 years. She was a 1940 graduate of Fayette High school in Fayette, OH. She received her Bachelors degree from Huntington University in 1946 and later received her Masters in Elementary Education from Ball State University. She also received an Honorary Doctorate from Huntington University in 2001. She was a member of the College Park United Brethren Church and the Shakespeare Club. She will always be remembered for her beautiful smile, her passion for music and her green thumb. She was born on May 20, 1922 in Marshall, MI a daughter of Paul and Olive Cosens Borton. She was united in marriage to J. Edward Roush on September 5, 1943 in Fayette, OH. He preceded her in death on March 26, 2004. Survivors include three sons: David L. Roush of Denver, CO., Joel E. Roush of Huntington and Robin Roush of Roanoke; a daughter: Melody Wright of Winona Lake; two sisters: Helen Turnow-Sommer of Oregon, OH and Martha Wyse of Archbold, OH; three brothers: Wallace Borton of Murenci, MI, Max Borton of Fayette, OH and Daniel Borton of Wauseon, OH; Ten grandchildren and 5 great grandchild. She was preceded in death by a sister Sharon Borton.
