Mrs. Esther Burns, 51, of 706 Van Winkle, passed away at 2:20 a.m. Thursday in a local hospital after an extented illness. She was born March 4, 1911 in Parker County, where she had lived all her life. She was a member of York Avenue Baptist Church.
Survivors are her husband, Lonnie; one daughter, Mrs. Jeanette Martin of Weatherford; two sons, Foy M. Burns of Columbus, GA. and Jerry Ray Burns of Weatherford.
Also, three sisters, Mrs. E.A. Nicholson and Mrs. Bill Hughett of Weatherford, and Mrs. Emma Mae Davis of San Jose, Calif.; four brothers, Sid, Dock, and Truett Campbell, all of Weatherford, and James Campbell of Ft. Worth, her mother, Mrs. Minnie Campbell of Weatherford.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday at Galbreaith-Pickard Funeral Chapel, with buriel in Oakland Cemetery.
