Chelan--Thelma E. Cooper, 90, a former longtime resident of Entiat, died Monday, Jan. 23, 1989, in Regency Manor Convalescent Center, Chelan. She was born Dec. 28, 1898, at Entiat to Charles A. and Jenny (Cannon) Harris. She attended school at Entiat and Seattle and later at Wenatchee. She married George Blair Cooper April 27, 1917; and their first home was at Winthrop where they operated the Rock View Ranch. They moved to Ardenvoir in 1923 where they established Cooper's General Store and operated a 20-acre apple orchard along the Entiat River. When they retired, they moved to Wenatchee and spent winters traveling in California. Mrs. Cooper was an active member of the Barnacle Club, Wenatchee Elks and Entiat Garden Club. survivors include two sons, Dr. Harvey R. Cooper, Chelan, and William H. Cooper, Entiat; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1978 and two sons.
