Mary Carroll, mother of Judith Carroll, lived in Prince George's County, MD for 20 years from 1844-1864.
Died on the 3rd in the Long Old fields, P. G.'s Co., at the residence of her son-in-law, Mr. George Phelps. Mrs. Carroll in the 71st year of here age and a native of the Country South Ireland, but for the past 20 years a residence of this city. Her funeral service will take place from St. Patrick's Church on Tuesday afternoon at 2 PM. -- Star 1/4/1864
Mary Carroll was originally interred at St. Patrick's Cemetery in DC. In the 1870's she was transferred to Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
