Services Held For Brady Caneer

Funeral Services for John Brady Caneer were conducted Saturday, January 22 at the First Baptist Church in Senath.
Bro. Jesse Parrott officiated. Burial was in the Senath Cemetery with the McDaniel Funeral Home of Senath in charge of arrangements.

The son of the late John A. and Elizabeth Alice Via Caneer, he was born in Tennessee June 10, 1889. He died January 20, 1972 at the age of 82 years, 7 months, 10 days.

Mr. Caneer was one of the best known men in this area, being a merchant in Senath for several years and a large land owner, and farmer in this community.

Many people found him to be a friend when they were in need. He helped many people through the goodness of his heart.

Mr. Caneer had been in ill health for several months, and had been hospitalized several times in the last few years.

Survivors include his son, Robert Caneer of Senath; and daughters Elizabeth Johnson of Senath and Gene Lo Caneer of Phoenix, Arizona; 10 grandchildren; and 7 Great Grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Alfred Moser, Jessie Goldsmith, Marvin Layne, Carl Davis, Willard Hampton, and Bob Kitchens.
