KILLING NEAR RIESEL YESTERDAY AFTERNOON

News reached Waco this afternoon of a killing yesterday afternoon at 4 o'clock at Riesel , or rather 3 miles from Riesel on the Hunt farm. Bud McGarry was shot in the head with a shotgun, alledged to have been fired by his brother-in-law, Ben Green. McGarry was almost instantly killed. He leaves a wife and seven children. An inquest is being held today. McGarry, so it is alledged, was beating his wife, who is the sister of Green, and she went to Green's house for protection. It is alledged that she was followed by McGarry, her husband, and when he got almost to Green's house McGarry is said to have been warned to come no further, but failed to stop, when he was shot. The inquest will develop all the facts in the case. It turns out that it was Sam Green and not Ben that killed him.
