MARY HELTON
Mary E. Helton, 82, Springdale, Ark., formerly of Joplin, died at 4:55 a.m. Thursday at Springdale Hospital after a short illness.
Mrs. Helton was born Aug. 2, 1906, at Neosho. She was a member of the Assembly of God.
Her husband, Glenn Helton, died in 1968.
Survivors include a son, Marion Helton, Dover, Ark.; two daughters, Joan Schmidt, St. Louis, and Iris D. Bates, Springdale, Ark.; a sister, Naomi Mering, Webb City; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Nelson's Funeral Home, Fayetteville, Ark. Mary Ruth Branham, minister, will officiate. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery, Galena, Kan., with the Rev. James Poe officiating.
