"Death claimed Mrs. Ruth Marie Messenger, 22-year-old wife of Willard Messenger of 714 south Third street, Sunday evening at her home. She had been ill during the last ten days.
Mrs. Messenger was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Davidson of Ironton and was united in marriage to Mr. Messenger on June 21, 1929. Her husband, her father, three children, Ruby Jean, Lloyd and Phyllis, and the following brothers and sisters survive: Mrs. Geraldine Legg, Mrs. Charles Ratliff, Miss Erma Davidson, Miss Clara Bell Davidson, William, Wilson and Samuel Davidson, all of Ironton.
The body was returned to the home today. Funeral services will be conducted at La Grange church Wednesday at two p.m. with burial in La Grange cemetery under direction of O'Keefe and Co."
